The Contradictions in the Bible AND Qur'an indicate that NO believer of either book should be following the words in their book as if they were the "perfect" written word, for even just one contradiction makes it imperfect. So we need to look at the "overall" message of both books to see what they might say. If it says there should be a "power" a "response" from God, which it does in the Bible, then if that occurs we have "proof"of the message and that there is a God of "Abraham". In which case we should listen to only those through whom this "power" occurs. If it does this power or answered prayer does NOT occur, it is just words of men, not of God. This applies to the Bible and the "Qur'an.
Contradictions in the Qur'an.
This Surah 2 says some Prophets or messengers are "exalted" or "excel" (preferred or have greater significance) than other "messengers" of God:
Surah 2: 252-253 These are the portents of Allah which We recite unto thee (Muhammad) with truth, and Lo! thou art of the number of (Our) messengers; 253. Of those messengers, some of whom We have caused to excel others, and of whom there are some unto whom Allah spake, while some of them He exalted (above others) in degree; and We gave Jesus, son of Mary, clear proofs (of Allah's sovereignty) and We supported him with the holy Spirit.
However, this Surah 4 says we should make "no distinction" (they are all equal) between the Prophets/Messengers.
Surah 4: 150-151. Lo! those who disbelieve in Allah and His messengers, and seek to make distinction between Allah and His messengers, and say: We believe in some and disbelieve in others, and seek to choose a way in between; 151. Such are disbelievers in truth; and for disbelievers We prepare a shameful doom. 152. But those who believe in Allah and His messengers and make no distinction between any of them, unto them Allah will give their wages; and Allah was ever Forgiving, Merciful
The Qur’an agrees Jesus was miraculous conception as it says in Surah 3:46 God can say “Be! And it is” when Mary asked how it could be she would have a child having not “known” a man. The Qur’an therefore is also agreeing that Jesus is the Son of God, but using different words. Because the Qur’an agrees that God said through the Angel Gabriel "Be and it is" with regard to the conception of Jesus it is by default agreeing that Jesus is the Son of God, conceived by the spoken word and power of God. A child has to have a male DNA to become a functioning embryo, which we must conclude was provided by God’s power if it was a miraculous conception.
Surah 3: .45-49 (And remember) when the angels said: O Mary! Allah giveth thee glad tidings of a word from Him, whose name is the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, illustrious in the world and the Hereafter, and one of those brought near (unto Allah). 46. He will speak unto mankind in his cradle and in his manhood, and he is of the righteous. 17 47. She said: My Lord! How can I have a child when no mortal hath touched me? He said: So (it will be). Allah createth what He will. if He decreeth a thing, He saith unto it only: Be! and it is. 48. And He will teach him the Scripture and wisdom, and the Torah and the Gospel. 49. And will make him a messenger unto the children of Israel,
The Qur’an then says that God does not have a Son (Surah 4:171) which is a contradiction for the Qur'an has aleady said that Jesus was conceived in Mary's womb.
Surah 4: 171. O People of the Scripture! Do not exaggerate in your religion nor utter aught concerning Allah save the truth. The Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, was only a messenger of Allah, and His word which He conveyed unto Mary, and a spirit from Him. So believe in Allah and His messengers, and say not "Three". Cease! (it is) better for you! Allah is only One God. Far is it removed from His transcendent majesty that he should have a son. His is all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. And Allah is sufficient as Defender.
The Torah also contradicts itself saying, “No man can see God and live”
Exodus 33: 20 And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live.
But later the 70 elders “saw God and did eat and drink”,
Exodus 24:11 Then went up Moses, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel:10And they saw the God of Israel: and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in his clearness.11And upon the nobles of the children of Israel he laid not his hand: also they saw God, and did eat and drink.
Therefore the Torah also, is not the “perfect written “ word of God.
In the Gospels, the New Testament of the Bible that the Christians rely upon as well as the Torah, it confirms that "no man has seen God", continuing the contradiction that is in the Torah.
John 1: 18 No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him
ANY book claimed to be the “perfect written word” of God would not have ANY contradictions in it, there are other contradictions in the Qur'an and Bible I could provide but it is enough that one is provided to porve the point of inperfection.
Due to these "imperfections" we must ALL look at these 2 books afresh, for our current understanding of them BOTH, has brought much sorrow, oppression, war and death because we have not discovered the CORRECT One True Message of God yet due to lack of reading BOTH books. The Qur'an AND the Bible.
